We are Tien and Selwyn, the heart and soul behind Tum Yumz. Growing up, our fondest memories were made around the dinner table, surrounded by family and friends, savoring the rich and diverse dishes of Southeast Asia. From festive celebrations to everyday dinners, these meals were more than just food—they were a way to show love and connect with those around us. Though we don’t have professional culinary training, our kitchen has always been a place of learning and love. We’ve spent countless hours perfecting recipes, experimenting with flavors, and ensuring that every dish we serve is filled with the warmth and care that defined our childhood meals.

Bringing these cherished dishes to school as kids wasn’t always easy. We remember the nervousness, the fear of odd looks and comments about the unfamiliar smells and appearances of our lunches.
